Who We Are

Cougar Mountain Middle School PTSA is a non-profit organization with members dedicated to the service of the students, families and staff of Cougar Mountain Middle School. We advocate for the health, education, safety and welfare of all children. We are affiliated with the Washington State PTA and National PTA. Membership in our PTSA supports many programs and events and benefits the CMMS community. 

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations to PTSA are tax-deductible. 

Standing Rules

In addition to being governed by the Washington State PTA Uniform Bylaws, we have Standing Rules which define specific conditions that govern our PTSA. These rules are not allowed to be in conflict with the Washington State PTA Bylaws. 

CMMS PTSA Mission Statement

To build a welcoming and inclusive community by supporting students, families and the Cougar Mountain Middle School staff through programming, educational opportunities and advocacy for our students.

Goals 

The Cougar Mountain Middle School PTSA will:

• Enhance and support an inclusive, welcoming, and positive environment for our students, families and community.
• Effectively communicate with PTSA members and the greater Cougar Mountain Middle School community.
• Enrich the educational experience by funding programs and events to engage students, families and staff.

The Standing Rules and Mission & Goals were approved at the General Meeting on September 27, 2024
