March 23, 2025 Announcement: 2025-26 Executive Board Candidates.

The 2025 Cougar Mountain Middle School PTSA nominating committee hereby places the following names into nomination:

For the President - Mary Vickers

For the Treasurer - Diane Pruett

For the Secretary - Laura Obier

For the VP of Communication - OPEN

For the VP of Fundraising and Membership - Jessica Anderson

For the VP of Programs - Nicole Danley

The nominating committee has confirmed that all nominees have been a member of a PTSA for at least 15 days prior election, and meet other requirements as stated in the WSPTA Uniform Bylaws.

Elections will be held at the CMMS PTSA General Membership Meeting on April 25, 2025.

This year's theme is "OUR CMMS TEACHERS AND STAFF ARE SUPERHEROES!"
 
The CMMS PTSA needs your help to make Staff Appreciation Week the most amazing week for our teachers and staff to celebrate them and all the incredible work they do every day!

ISF Nourish Every Mind Luncheon
Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Issaquah Community Center
Lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (doors open at 11:00) 
 
Save the date for the Issaquah Schools Foundation Nourish Every Mind Luncheon fundraiser. This event welcomes parents, educators, businesses, and leaders as we celebrate the collective impact our community makes by opening doors to opportunity for Issaquah School District students. Nourish Every Mind donations fund programs and resources for students attending all 27 Issaquah School District schools.

What’s The Difference Between PTSA, ASB, and ISF?

The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), Associated Student Body (ASB), and Issaquah Schools Foundation (ISF) are three separate but complementary organizations which provide a variety of support to multiple programs at CMMS. While each school has its own PTSA and ASB, the ISF supports all schools district-wide. More information available here.

For Students: Art with Influence Contest

Influence the Choice is hosting its 13th Annual Art with Influence contest, a video and 2-D art contest focused on helping to prevent students from using alcohol and other drugs.  The grand prize is $1,000!!  Videos and 2-D are due by April 27th.  Check here for contest rules, deadlines and more information.

Volunteering at CMMS
As a reminder, your Issaquah School District volunteer status must be approved each year.  Complete your ISD volunteer application and be sure to select Cougar Mountain Middle School under school preference.
 
Please help us make this school year even better! We're off to a great start but still need volunteers.
