Welcome to Cougar Mountain Middle School PTSA!

PTSA stands for Parent Teacher Student Association. Our non-profit group is made up of the Cougar Mountain Middle School (CMMS) community: parents, teachers, staff and students who all have the common goal of providing every child an enriching education.

Established in 2021, the CMMS PTSA mission is to build a welcoming and inclusive community by supporting students, families and the Cougar Mountain Middle School staff through programming, educational opportunities and advocacy for our students.

As a member of the Cougar Mountain Middle School PTSA, you are automatically a member of the Washington State PTA (WSPTA) and National PTA, which is the largest child advocacy group in the United States. The more members we have, the LOUDER our voice is when it comes to advocating for our children's education, health and safety in the Washington State Legislature.

Both Washington State PTA and the National PTA offer services and discounts through select partners and as a member of the Issaquah Middle PTSA, they are available to you! New benefits are being added, so be sure to check often!

Why Join the PTSA?

  • Network - The PTSA helps to share ideas, concerns, and experiences with other parents and educators in the community. PTSA events are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers in the community.
  • Speak Up - As the oldest and largest child advocacy association in America, PTSA provides a forum for idea exchange and advocacy for the education and well-being of our children. Talking to your PTSA Board leaders can provide you with an effective way to suggest change. The strength of our PTSA membership gives our PTSA leaders a louder representative voice at local, state, and national levels. 
  • Support - By donating funds you help your local PTSA make positive changes to your school community. The PTSA plays an important role in funding curriculum-based grants, staff support and social events - all vital to a school community's success.
