Clothing Donations for Back-to-School Resource Fair (May 9 - June 17)

Got a pile of clothes that your kid has outgrown? Bring it to school and turn it into a donation! The CMMS PTSA is partnering with the ISD to conduct a clothing drive to collect clothing for students in grades pre-K to 12.

All clothing sizes are welcome. The clothing will be available for students at the Back-to-School Resource Fair to be held in August. 

Where: Drop off your closing donation at the CMMS front office during the office hours from 8:10 AM - 3:30 PM or at the Swift Storage Box located in the parking lot of the ISD Administration Building (5150 220th Ave SE 98029) between May 9th - June 17th, during these times:

• Mondays from 10 a.m. - noon (no collection on Memorial Day)
• Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
• Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
• Saturdays from 10 a.m. - noon

Items accepted:

• Clothing: Clean, gently used, or new, and free of stains and rips.
• Other school supplies: Gently used or new: lunch bags, shoes, jackets, backpacks
• Hygiene items (all new and unopened): Deodorant, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and feminine products

Golden Acorn Award Recipients 

Congratulations to the 2024 CMMS PTSA Golden Acorn Award recipients,

Eric Leberg and Harriet Arkley!

Harriet and Eric are our two wonderful volunteers from the Timber Ridge community next to CMMS.

     Harriet started the knitting club with only four students, today there are 35 students. Anna Kenniston is the wonderful teacher sponsor who runs the club together with Harriet.

     Eric has been playing instruments since he himself was a student in Band and he dedicates his time to volunteer during Mr. Rogers' band class and at concerts.

We are grateful for the wonderful partnership we have with the Timber Ridge community and thankful for Harriet and Eric's dedication and time. Our students and staff are very fortunate to have them as part of our CMMS community.
